The nice weather is not yet gone in the Bay Area and we still enjoy beautiful temperatures. We have selected the best playground in Silicon Valley and South Bay Area to organize playdates with your neighbors or enjoy a good family time.

# Cornelis Bol Park in Palo Alto

Cornelis Bol park is located in Barron Park neighborhood of Palo Alto. If you love animals, nature, water creek, redwoods trees, birds, Chickens and donkeys, you definitely need to visit this park. The park is beautiful, nicely shaded and well kept.  It includes a jogging path, a plush lawn area, wood benches, a large climbing and play structure, beautiful undeveloped meadows and a one-mile bicycle path.

Most of all, adjacent to Bol Park in a private corral are Perry and Jenny, two donkeys. Perry the miniature donkey is a real celebrity, he served as the model for Shrek’s “Donkey.” Every Sunday around 10am, you will find the donkeys next to the playground where you will be free to pet them and learned more about them thanks to the volunteers taking care of them.

# Las Palmas Park in Sunnyvale

This park is the perfect place to go to when planning any playdate, neighbors or friends’ events due to the abundance of wide of open space, tables, and barcecue pits.  It’s green, lush, and clean.  There is plenty of grass to do a variety of activities including picnics, sports, or just relaxing in the sun. There is also plenty of space for the children to run around and play on the playground.  Las Palmas also has a separate dog park and two separate play areas fairly close together, one for toddler and one for bigger kids that is amazing. It also has this amazing palm trees and was built in a Polynesian style that give it a peaceful atmosphere.

# The Rotary Playgarden in San Jose

What make this park really unique is that they have a PlayGarden that enables children with special needs to play alongside their siblings and friends.  It’s a safe and imaginative place to take children of all ages to exercise and explore. It’s colorful and transforms everyone to a happy and playful state of mind with his slides, rock climbing, swings, sand and water area. The entire PlayGarden is fenced with only one entrance/exit point that makes it the perfect place for a perfect playdate.

# The Magical Bridge in Palo Alto

This is also an amazing park that is truly accessible for all. There are several zones of playground for kids and a large piece of grassland. The playground is colorful. There are treehouse, numerous slides and swings and more, kids of all ages just have fun together. The amount of play structures and the variety of types of activities is unmatched by any other park in the area of Palo Alto. You will find dedicated areas for toddlers and for bigger kids and plenty of shady places where to seat for parents.

# Oak Meadow Park in Los Gatos

This park is a gem located downtown Los Gatos. All ages will find activities. This large 12 acre park offers trails along a small river where you can either go walking or biking, picnic and barbecues area, direct access to Vasona lake where paddle boats and row boats are available for rental from early spring through early fall.

His large playground is a must with a real, decommissioned USAF T-33 Jet. The best time to go is during the weekend when one of the only carousel of the bay, the “Bill Mason Carousel” and the Bill Jones Wildcat Railroad are opened. You can’t miss this park!
